History

Ingmire Electrical Engineers started operations in 1941 as an industrial electrical motor repair operation.

The business was initially located in central Melbourne industrial region on the west end, the building still stands today and could be heritage listed at 54 Clarke Street, South Melbourne, Vic,3025.

The WW2 war effort saw it as a protected industry and was quickly engaged to design and manufacture DC searchlight generators for the war effort, this provided a solid foundation and established the name.

We have moved a few times up to 2016, our new professionally equipped premises are currently located at factory 1 – 65 Industrial drive in Braeside Victoria 3195.

 

How we can help you

We have all the modern labour saving devices and lifting equipment to a capacity of 20 tons with overhead cranes. Higher loads are aided by mobile cranes where necessary, once the equipment is broken down into sections the internal electric hoists can safely perform all repair tasks. This ensures that the customers valuable critical equipment is not at risk.

We advise after 76 years with the same continuous family involvement we are an established company with a wealth of experience to offer.

The company over this extended time has varied its operation to meet the changing environment, we always embrace new systems and materials that become available.

Our mission statement is to understand and investigate the customers problem, then advise and offer total solutions in house and returning the system fully tested and commissioned for service on the customers behalf, we usually put forward the more economical or the long term options dependant on the future time in service expectations of the equipment involved.

We do not walk away from a difficult issue, some problems are not economical to resolve, we finish the project to ensure our name is not compromised.

We offer warranty on our provided work or equipment and are very fair in the approach to any unfortunate incident.

The company specialises in repairs, supply of equipment and the research and development of electrical and electromechanical systems for the industrial and oil exploration service shipping industry, plus on board remote locations investigation and full turn key repairs and installations, including the logistics of attending sites.

The provision of services is not limited to the above, all requests are taken seriously.
